Earlier findings in the Northern Finland 1966 Birth Cohort (NFBC 1966) suggest that psychiatric disturbances are more common in children of single-parent families than in 2-parent families [34,37,49]. The aim of the present study was to investigate the association of childhood family structure and some demographic characteristics with specific PDs in adulthood.
